Organizational self-recognition: A key factor for absorptive capability

From the available literature, organizational acquisition of knowledge is defined as ability to identify, evaluate, and acquire external that considered critical for operations; however, aspect how a company in its factual performance does identification evaluation would serve point reference managers confusing, because this process subjectivities individuals make up organization are strongly involved. In sense, purpose explore self-recognition key activity identify assess absorb it. To achieve this, work adopts qualitative exploratory approach. It uses non-participant observation semi-structured interview applied organizations; supported field logs guides. The interviews were analyzed with help AtlasTi ® Version 7.5.7 software. findings showed when organizations develop recognize themselves, they perform better absorption processes, by obtaining more references value addition, subordination relationships structures hinder discrepancies environment. concludes an capability involves history organization, clarity objectives, construction meaning, individual capabilities, trust employees, which relevant knowledge. Finally, important contribution approach makes administrative sciences demonstrated.
